Cheryl Adams

Cheryl is a coach, advocate, and changemaker committed to empowering families and individuals navigating developmental, intellectual, and mental health challenges. She has over 30 years of combined lived and professional experience across mental health, education, and child and family-serving systems. She currently serves as Director of Programs for Youth Infusion, supporting Pennsylvania youth in improving their communities and becoming successful leaders through education, advocacy, and mental health training.

Cheryl’s advocacy is grounded in her experience as the parent of a child with complex mental health needs and an intellectual disability. Her daughter’s journey became her why and continues to guide her commitment to strengthening family engagement, advancing inclusive practices, and supporting family-informed policy and systems accountability. She is deeply committed to uplifting family and youth voice and ensuring lived experience helps shape meaningful system improvement.

Outside of her professional and advocacy work, Cheryl is a mom of two who enjoys good music, good food, and spending time outdoors with her husband and children.
