How does the PEAL Center help families?
As a Parent Center (PTI) and Family-to-Family Health Information Center (F2F), PEAL provides assistance to families of children with disabilities, educators, and others who work with them. PEAL’s primary intent is to help families help their children and provide the tools they need to become lifelong advocates for their children and themselves.
-
Where do I begin my journey?
You can begin by completing our online form, and a Family Resource Specialist or Intake Coordinator will reach out to you. Providing us as much information as possible will help us connect you with the correct resources from the start.

I work with families; how can you help me?
Educators and professionals in Pennsylvania can refer parents of children with disabilities to the PEAL Center as a safe and confidential support that helps families to develop strategies and problem solve any situation. Do you work with self-advocates?
PEAL helps youth and young adults with disabilities and/or special health care needs (ages 14-26) connect to other youth, develop skills, and build opportunities. PEAL offers trainings, leadership intensives and support for youth and young adults to develop self-advocacy and leadership skills to lead their own transitions into adulthood. PEAL Youth Coordinators empower youth to lead conversations and take an active role in determining their futures.
