More Than Words: Supporting Communication with AT and AAC Devices
Join TechOWL on December 8th to explore how Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) can enhance
communication, participation, and independence for people with disabilities. Discover a variety of tools, from simple low-tech supports to advanced
communication devices and applications. Participants will learn how AT and AAC can support individuals at home, in
school, and throughout the community. This session will address common misconceptions, considerations for choosing appropriate tools, and practical
strategies for successful AAC use. Through real-world examples, participants will gain valuable insights into helping individuals communicate, make choices,
and have their voices heard.
