About Health Matters Northwest

The PEAL Center’s Health Matters Conference is offered at no charge to attendees and is a conference that is designed to empower and connect parents and family members of youth with disabilities, youth and young adults with disabilities, educators, healthcare providers, service professionals, and community organizations. This event focuses on advancing best practices, sharing innovative strategies, and highlighting evidence-based approaches that support young people with disabilities and their families.

We’re excited to welcome several community organizations who will be tabling at Health Matters Northwest. These partners offer advocacy, resources, and support to individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Pennsylvania.

Education Law Center – PA (ELC) The Education Law Center works to ensure that all children in Pennsylvania have access to a quality public education through advocacy, legal support, and family resources.
F2MAX F2MAX supports individuals with disabilities and their families through advocacy, education, and community-based support.
Voices for Independence Voices for Independence is a Center for Independent Living that empowers people with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
PA Family Network PA Family Network provides families of individuals with disabilities with training, peer support, and information to help plan for the future.
The Arc of Erie County The Arc of Erie County supports and advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Milestone Pediatric Complex Care Resource Center Milestone’s Pediatric Complex Care Resource Center helps families of children with complex medical needs connect to resources, support, and care coordination.
Disability Rights Pennsylvania Disability Rights Pennsylvania protects and advocates for the civil rights of people with disabilities throughout the state.
Local Task Force 5 (LTF 5) Local Task Force 5 brings families, educators, and community members together to share resources and improve special education services.
Mission Empower Mission Empower provides programs and resources that help individuals with disabilities build independence and strengthen community connections.
ASERT (Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training) ASERT provides statewide autism resources, training, and information for individuals with autism, families, and professionals.
PaTTAN (Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network) PaTTAN works with the Pennsylvania Department of Education to support schools, educators, and families in improving educational outcomes for students with disabilities. They provide training, technical assistance, and resources across the state to support inclusive education and effective services.
